IT Infrastructure Engineer

Job Description

The ideal candidate is a self-motivated, multi-tasker, and demonstrated team-player. The ideal candidate will be working amongst colleagues, responsible for designing, building, deploying, and maintaining the IT infrastructure using the latest technologies. The purpose of the role is to ensure efficient function of all the IT systems that support the business. The ideal candidate should excel in working with large-scale corporate network infrastructure.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Architects, supervises, and participates in the implementation of technologies and platforms supporting a complex corporate data and voice infrastructure.
  • Designs solutions from mission needs and evaluates current systems to secure best practices.
  • Manages security of system and inter-application information transfers.
  • Setting up, deploying, maintaining and supporting the automated machines.
  • Establish standards to establish and configure entire desktop plus mobile computers.
  • Manage and maintain LAN and VPN network.
  • Ensures high availability of enterprise voice and data platforms that support internal employee business functions and external customer contact.
  • Troubleshoots and resolves issues impacting the operation of the corporate voice and data infrastructure
  • Serves as one of the primary points of contact for telecommunication carriers and service providers and coordinate circuit design, provisioning, installation and troubleshooting.
  • Assists with planning and implementing systems and network integrations.
  • Documents the design, operation and troubleshooting of technology platforms and procedures.
  • Provide general IT support (Contact Centre Software, Insurance Software Application and all other company software applications).

Experience & Qualifications

  • Proven experience as an IT Infrastructure engineer or similar role
  • Strong understanding of Hardware, Software, and Networking
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Resourcefulness and troubleshooting aptitude
  • Attention to detail
  • An analytical mind
  • A degree or equivalent technical background in the following areas of study; Computer Science, Information Systems, Telecoms Engineering, Network Engineering, Information and Communication Technology
  • Professional certifications in networking (e.g. CISCO) is a must
  • Clean class 4 driver’s license is a must
